AIRCRAFT PARTS MANUFACTURER

Assisted manufacturer of aircraft parts to improve their inventory control processes and increase inventory accuracy. Also assessed the current business processes and recommended changes to those practices.

MEDICAL DEVICES MANUFACTURER

Conducted a series of workshops to help a manufacturer of medical devices prepare their people prepare for a ERP implementation. Workshops included, Overcoming Fear of Change, Becoming a Leader and Working As A Team.

PACKAGED FOOD COMPANY

Reviewed their worldwide inventory control processes from order placement through customer delivery and recommended new processes, procedures and systems. Developed an implementation plan and managed the implementation efforts. Made extensive use of process maps during this effort.

CONSUMER SPORT AIR GUNS

Provided project management skills to a floundering project in a high volume manufacturing environment as well as post implementation support for defining business processes and user procedures.

MANUFACTURER OF ELECTRONIC SUBASSEMBLIES

Conducted a system selection workshop to help a manufacturer of electronic subassemblies select an ERP system.

CAPITAL EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURER

Aided a capital equipment manufaturer implement a new business system. This was a complete enterprise system including financials, sales order entry, EDI, product configuration, inventory control, shop floor control, purchasing and all other modules.

VITAMIN AND SUPPLEMENT MANUFACTURER

Assisted a vitamin and supplement manufacturer implement a process industry business system. This was a complete enterprise system including formula management, inventory control, production management, purchasing and all other modules.

MACHINERY COMPANY

Took over over a business system implementation that was failing at a machinery company, developed a project plan, managed the implementation and recommend new business processes that led to a successful implementation. Also provided education and training in support of the new system.

MANUFACTURER OF MICRO-ABRASIVE CAPITAL EQUIPMENT

Provided project management and implementation support for a replacement ERP system. System successfully implemented 4 months after user training conducted.

MANUFACTURER OF AEROSPACE SPRINGS

Implementation training and support for a replacement ERP system. Required full understanding of average costing methods and financials as well as all manufacturing processes.

AUTOMOBILE PARTS DISTRIBUTOR

Developed and delivered a 24-hour custom training program, Supply Chain Management in a Distribution Environment. Also created and presented an 8-hour executive overview of the program.

FORTUNE 500 BREWERY

Provided customized 16 hour Process Improvement courses to over 400 employees. Also presented 40 hour courses in Leadership and Strategic Planning to executive staff. Presented 24 hour courses in Train-the-Trainer and On-the-Job training skills to selected staff members. Assisted in establishing detailed in-house training procedures for the 1500-person facility. These methods and procedures were then deployed to 12 other locations and became the model for nation-wide in-house training.

CITY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS

Developed and delivered customized 48 hour courses in Process Improvement to all Department Managers and Supervisors. Also presented 40 hour course in Leadership Skills and Strategic Planning. Presented 2 hour Overview of Process Improvement to 230 DPW employees and customized course in Facilitation and Team Leader Skills to project leaders.

FORTUNE 500 MILITARY RADAR ANTENNA MANUFACTURER (State Funds)

Developed and delivered various length customized MRP courses (50 hours, 100 hours and 150 hours) to over 400 employees representing every department of the 1800-person organization. Designed and delivered 40 hour Process Improvement course to over 300 employees. Designed and delivered 16 hour Statistical Process Control Course to over 100 employees. Arranged for California State ETP funding of $392,000 to offset training expenses.

CALIFORNIA STATE AGENCY

Presented 48 hours of training in Customer Service, Communication and Teamwork Skills to 14 members of the office staff and field representatives.

CITY PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT

Presented 8 hour Process Improvement / Customer Service Overview to 36 managers and supervisors.

GENERAL BUILDING CONTRACTOR (State Funds)

Presented customized 56 hour courses in Process Improvement, Customer Service and Business Writing Skills to 24 employees. Presented 16 hour Strategic Planning course to 8 executive staff members. Arranged for California State ETP funding of $30,000 to offset training expenses.

MAJOR HEALTH CARE PROVIDER

Developed and delivered customized 16 hour Presentation Skills courses to prepare 36 employees to become in-house trainers. Provided 8 hour course in Coaching Skills for in-house program in Change Management. Assisted in establishing in house process improvement training programs in the areas of health care, hospital administration, and housekeeping.

MANUFACTURER OF FILTERS AND FILTRATION SYSTEMS (State Funds)

Provided customized 16 hour Process Improvement courses to over 100 employees. Presented 40 hour course in Leadership and Strategic Planning to executive staff. Presented 32 hour Lean Manufacturing and Statistical Process Control course to 48 employees. Presented 24 hour courses in Train-the-Trainer and On-the-Job training skills to selected staff members. Presented 136 hours of training in MRP, Inventory Control, Master Scheduling, Production Activity Control and Supply Chain Management to 20 employees to prepare them for APICS CPIM Certification. Arranged for California State ETP funding of $159,000 to offset training expenses

Provided customized 48 hour Process Improvement courses to 50 employees. Presented 16 hour course in Statistical Process Control course to 40 employees. Presented 24 hour courses in Customer Service to 50 employees. Arranged for California State ETP funding of $60,000 to offset training expenses

MANUFACTURER OF PAINTS, COASTINGS AND ADHESIVES (State Funds)

Provided customized 16 hour Process Improvement courses to 125 employees. Presented 16 hour course in Statistical Process Control to 60 employees. Presented customized 20 hour courses in MRP to over 80 employees. Presented customized 20 hour courses in Self Directed Work Teams and Conflict Resolution to over 140 employees. The company arranged for California State ETP funding of $230,000 to offset training expenses

PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOUNDING AND PACKAGING COMPANY

Presented 40 hour course in Leadership and Strategic Planning to executive staff of this 500 person company. Presented 48 hour courses in Management and Supervision to 60 employees. Presented 40 hour Process Improvement course to 120 employees and provided facilitation to 3 teams in the areas of setup time reduction, productivity increase, and quality improvements. Presented 20 hour Facilitator / Team Leader course to 20 employees. Presented 16 hour Lean Manufacturing course to 40 employees. Presented 16 hour Train-the-Trainer course to 16 employees to develop in-house on-the-job training skills.

FEDERAL GOVERNMENT

Conducted 16 hour Train the Trainer and 16 hour Learning Dynamics for both Military and Civil Service personnel employed on a military base.

FEDERAL GOVERNMENT

Developed and delivered an 8-hour custom course, Activity Based Costing, to managers and staff of the United States Mint.

DISTANCE LEARNING

Conducted numerous courses in Supply Chain Management topics to groups of industrial companies via cable television in conjunction with a major university.

DISTANCE LEARNING

Developed and conducted a series of courses on the Principles of Operations Management to employees of industrial companies via close circuit television in conjunction with a consortium of community colleges.

MEDICAL PRODUCTS PACKAGER

Developed and conducted 8-hour ERP Executive Overview Seminars for top executives in the United States and Great Britain. Also developed and presented 32 hour ERP course to steering committee and implementation team members.
