Target Audience:

The course is designed for project managers, project staff members, project engineers, and personnel who are assigned to projects from all types of organizations, profit or non-profit, public or private, service or manufacturing.Typically these people are responsible for planning and implementing projects which require an excellent knowledge of the relationship between scope, cost and schedule, as well as interpersonal communication skills, group dynamics, and resource management. The Communication and Teamwork Class is a recommended prerequisite.

Objectives and Benefits:

The students will develop abilities to use project scope tools to analyze contractual requirements and generate Project Charters and Work Breakdown Structures. Participants will be able to discuss and demonstrate knowledge of project cost tools to establish cost estimates and perform cost tracking using Earned Value Analysis. Participants will be able to use time tools to develop Gantt charts, perform Critical Path Analysis and establish strategic plans, tactical plans, and contingency plans for effective time management and allocation of resources. The overall benefits include gaining the knowledge of proven techniques to complete projects on time, on schedule, and within the scope of work in order to generate excellent customer satisfaction and repeat business.
